Graphic Designer / Production Artist - Part Time

We are seeking a Graphic Designer / Production Artist who has great communication skills and is a self-starter individual. This position will be hands on in all aspects of graphic design as needed. Must be equally comfortable handling everything from graphic design of print materials (such as business cards, flyers, banners, stickers, signs and more), to producing print-ready files for print, mocking up jobs for client proofs, and keeping the graphic design queue up to date. 

Requirements​

• Must be familiar with our Core Values and stand by them inside our facility. 
• Must be comfortable and have experience running Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• ​​Excellent time management/project management skills. Must meet deadlines.
• ​​Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented & highly organized.
• Candidate must have consistent good attendance and punctuality.

Must quickly learn to:

• Accurately set up print-ready files as needed. Print-ready files will include, but not limited to; business cards, flyers, posters, signs, stickers window/vehicle graphics, shirt designs and more.
• Set up mockups to send to clients for review/approval and/or changes, and stay in contact with clients during this process.
• Pivot from a task to another when needed. During slow times; candidate will be asked to perform other duties as needed, or may be trained in other tasks such as receiving, packing, printing (large format printer and laminator), heat press orders, and more.
• Help keep a clean work station and production facility.
• Assist walk-in customers with questions & consultations and set-up appointments as needed. 
• Update and generate graphics as needed for Up All Night Ink's website, social media, and emails.

Bonus skills a plus:

• Customer service: Greet customers accordingly and be able to hold a professional and friendly conversation over the phone, email and in-person.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish
• Email Campaigns: Have experience or be familiar with Mailchimp and be able to manage weekly email newsletter. 
• Website management: experience in running a Shopify website by managing listed items and fulfilling orders. 
• Networking: Not be afraid to be social and outgoing in community networking events. Be able to represent Up All Night Ink in public proudly and professionally. 
• Experience running any of following equipment: Large format printer, laminator, vinyl cutter, embroidery machine,  screen-printing press (manual or automatic), heat press, hat press.

​Compensation & Commissions 
Starts at $15-21 hour, based on experience and skills. Re-evaluated after first 90 days.
Part time. Option of full-time for right candidate after first 90 days.
10% commission earned with every new client's first order brought in by candidate.

​Qualifications of an ideal candidate
A contender would need to have a very strong attention to detail, be able to multi-task, and manage time appropriately to ensure orders are processed efficiently. Must be able to work well independently with minimal guidance for productivity. Need individual who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining focus on each order individually.

Physical Demands
While performing a portion of the listed duties, sitting for long periods of time are required. While performing the other portion of duties listed, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Must be able to lift 50lbs and not be afraid to get dirty!
